OBERIG Necklace
The OBERIG necklace is the most expressive interpretation of Ukrainian amulet symbolism within the collection.
In Ukrainian tradition, an oberig is a protective object worn close to the body — believed to give strength, offer guidance, and help the wearer return safely from life’s journeys. This necklace brings that idea into a contemporary form through rhythm, repetition, and material weight.
Multiple cross elements are arranged along a structured chain, creating a sense of continuity and protection that surrounds the neck. The cross, one of the most ancient universal symbols, represents balance between maternal and paternal energies, the four cardinal directions, and the four natural elements. Its meaning here is cultural and symbolic rather than religious.
Handcrafted in Kyiv, each element carries subtle differences, emphasizing the handmade process and the idea that protection is personal, layered, and built over time.
